QA Automation Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION:

WeddingWire is looking for a well-rounded Quality Assurance Automation Engineer that is familiar with the growing technology landscape and desires to contribute in a fast-paced, web-oriented environment. This position requires a strong analytical sense combined with a dynamic, creative approach. You will be responsible for creating and executing plans, procedures and automated scripts used to ensure high levels of quality for complex, consumer-oriented, web-based applications.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work with QA Engineers and Software Developers to deliver high-quality platform updates, new web-based features/products, and new mobile initiatives.
• Translate detailed product specifications, wireframes, and mockups into comprehensive automated test scripts using Ruby.
• Translate detailed manual test cases to automated test scripts using Ruby.
• Provide reporting on automation cycles and maintain the automation scripts.
• Introduce new test automation best practices and techniques.

REQUIREMENTS:

• BS/BA in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related
• Passion for software quality, QA methodologies, testing techniques, and internet technologies.
• Proficiency with programming language including Ruby is required.
• Experience testing applications on Linux, Mac, Windows and iOS and/or Android operating system are a plus
• Experience with SaaS based application development is a plus
• Working knowledge of the Watir test automation framework is preferred.
• Results oriented drive and solid work ethics.
